The Favorita (Juan Francisco de la Bodega y Quadra, 2nd-in-command; pilot Maurelle) entered San Francisco Bay 14 Sept 1779, a day before the Princesa, on the return from the Arteaga–Bodega Alaska expedition (reached 61°17′N, Spain's northernmost point); Bodega gave a bronze N.S. de los Remedios to the mission; departed 30 Oct 1779
